Origo is expanding to the Nordics
Full language support for Swedish, Norwegian Bokmål and Nynorsk, and Danish, and curriculum alignment for Sweden.
Students and teachers in Finland can use Origo in Swedish or English, following the Finnish curriculum.
Origo is now available in Swedish and English for schools in Finland. Students and teachers can choose the language they use the platform in, and the content follows the Finnish curriculum (LOPS 2021), whichever language they choose.
A note on translations: some of the text may still be incorrect in places. We're fixing it as we go, so please be patient with us, and let us know if you spot something.
Until now, Origo was only available in Finnish. Now, a student in a Swedish-speaking school or an English-language class can learn with the same platform as everyone else, following the same curriculum, in the language they study in.
Language shouldn't decide which tools a student gets to learn with. We want every student in Finland to be able to use Origo in the language they study in, following the same curriculum.
Origo works the same way in every language. When a student gets stuck, they receive a hint about the next step, rather than being handed a final solution. Tasks are checked the moment a student provides an answer, and teachers can see how the class is progressing.
If your school teaches in Swedish or English and you'd like to try Origo with a class, get in touch via the contact page.

We piloted Origo in two Finnish high schools on a statistics and probability course. In active lessons, students completed almost twice as many tasks as usual.
