Origo is piloting in Finnish high schools

What we're building, who it's for today, and when English support arrives.

Origo Team

Origo is an AI-powered math learning platform built for Finnish high school students. Right now, we are running multiple pilots in Finnish schools, and the product is available only in Finnish.

If you have landed on this page from somewhere outside Finland, here is what you should know.

What Origo does

Origo helps students work through math problems step by step. Instead of jumping straight to the answer, the platform checks intermediate reasoning, gives targeted hints, and adapts to where a student actually gets stuck.

A student's problem-solving process is converted into signals: hint requests, skipped tasks, time spent solving, and their independent task outcomes. Topic estimates help teachers decide where to offer support.

Teachers get a classroom view with real-time insight into how students are progressing, which problems are causing trouble, and where to focus their instruction.

Why Finnish only?

As a new startup, education technology (EdTech) is already one of the hardest sectors to break into. Combine that with selling directly to schools, instead of taking the consumer route of making a gamified app that doesn't actually help you learn. You end up with an incredibly difficult go-to-market strategy.

Piloting in Finnish high schools made perfect sense for us because our entire team went through this specific school system, so we understand it inside and out.

This hyperlocal focus has its benefits. We have been able to maintain a very rapid iteration speed thanks to nearby high schools allowing us to set up small-scale pilot sessions with real classrooms. We can walk right up to teachers, school admins, and students to ask directly what works and what doesn't in both their current software and ours. The platform needs to serve these groups seamlessly.

We want to get the core product absolutely right before we expand.

English support: summer 2026

We are actively working on English language support and plan to launch it in summer 2026. This will include a fully localized interface and content adapted for a broader audience beyond the Finnish curriculum.
